The Family Lake House

I grew up most of my life in El Paso around no water. None. When I moved out to Austin, I was introduced to lakes and rivers.  I was really hesitant; okay I still am, about getting in the water because I can't see what is below me.  I am always afraid that a fish with huge teeth is going to swim by me and take a chunk outta my thigh.  Anyway, Brad's parents bought a lake house in Kingsland right outside of Marble Falls.  They all pretty much grew up in the house right next door because Bobbie's best friend owns it. They are all what I like to call "River Rats."  Bobbie tells me of the stories of her teaching her kids how to water ski.  I have never done that!!  Needless to say, the Alexanders have tons of amazing memories on the lake and now they own the house right next door to the one they spent many of years at.  We have gone twice now and the first time was a mess because Maddy was so sick.  This last time was really great!  A good friend of Brad's came down with his son CJ and brought his amazing boat!  Brooklyn rode in the tube and Brad water skied for the first time in at least 10 years.  My hubby did so well and got up on the skies on the first try.  We are very excited about all of the memories we are going to make at this house.  And by next summer Maddy will be walking and will be able to play outside with all of the kids. We can't wait!  Here are some pics of our times at the lake so far:

I'm a Blogger!!

So I have been thinking and thinking and thinking about starting a blog but wasn't sure if I could keep up with it or if I would even be good at it.  See, I was afraid that my writing skills, or lack thereof, would make this blog worthless.  BUT, I just couldn't resist.  I unfortunately did not start a baby book for Brooklyn or Madyson and it kept eating at me.  I decided that this would be the best way to organize all my thoughts and memories so that one day, my baby girls could read this and see how much Brad and I adore them.  SO, here it is people.  Stephanie Alexander is officially a blogger. Yay!  I hope that when you have some "down" time, you will read some of my posts and share in my life.  I hope you enjoy!
